World Travel Awards, one of the world’s most recognized awards ceremony for travel and tourism, has just announced the location for their 2026 Europe Gala Ceremony.
Every year, the World Travel Awards completes their Grand Tour—a series of gala ceremonies held around the globe to commemorate excellence in travel and tourism within each continent. The event culminates at the end of the year, with the winners of each gala going head-to-head in the World Travel Awards Grand Final.

This year, the regional ceremony for Europe will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, at the Montenegro Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort. This marks the very first World Travel Awards event to ever take place in Montenegro throughout its 33-year history.
The Montenegro Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort is a luxury 5-star beach resort in Boka Bay. It’s close to the stunning 15th-century artificial island and Catholic church “Our Lady of the Rocks,” and has breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea.
Guests participating in the gala ceremony will be treated to a Welcome Reception at 6 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. gala dinner & awards ceremony. The evening will conclude at 10 p.m..
Graham Cooke, Founder of the World Travel Awards, says in a statement on the World Travel Awards website: “It is a privilege to stage our Europe Gala Ceremony in Montenegro for the first time, which underscores the nation’s emergence as a hub of luxury hospitality. Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort encapsulates Adriatic elegance in a stunning location, making it an ideal setting for our industry’s premier gathering. We anticipate a powerful night of recognition, networking and storytelling that will showcase Montenegro’s growing role on the global tourism stage.”
