Atlanta landed on the top of WalletHub’s latest summer travel ranking. Atlanta beat out a long list of U.S. cities across 41 different indicators, flight costs, number of attractions, average meal prices for two, and more.

The ranking was not about the scenery of the locations, however, cities were ranked by how affordable and convenient they were to tour. Atlanta also scored well on activities and attractions, too, so the city didn’t just win on price alone. Flights from major U.S. cities to Atlanta can run as low as $317 with no connections required. This price point is a significant factor for anyone trying to keep a summer trip from getting too expensive. Atlanta also ranked high for tourism activities such as spas, shopping, ice cream shops, and pools. Atlanta’s late last call times were also recognized as a plus.
Orlando came in second on the list. The report noted that the cost of a three-star hotel room in Orlando is on the lower end compared to other major vacation cities.
Austin rounded out the top three, with affordable restaurants, outdoor options, and a relatively low cost of living working in its favor.
